Maryland’s 14th Legislative District is in northern Montgomery County and comprises the communities of: Ashton, Brinklow, Brookeville, Burtonsville, Calverton, Cloverly, Clarksburg, Colesville, Damascus, Fairland, Goshen, Laytonsville, Montgomery Village, Olney, Sandy Spring, Silver Spring, Spencerville and Sunshine.

Q: When is Election Day?
A: Tuesday, November 8, 2022 (7 am – 8 pm).

Q: Can I vote early?
A: Yes, you can vote early from Thursday October 27, 2022 through Thursday November 8, 2022 from 7 am to 8 pm.

Q: How can I vote?
A: You may vote in person on Election Day at one of the designated polling places, vote by mail, or return your ballot to a drop box by 8 pm on Thursday October 27, 2022 through Thursday November 8, 2022 from 7 am to 8 pm.

Q: How can I register to vote? 
A: Register to Vote: Deadlines are June 28, 2022 for the Gubernatorial Primary Election; and October 18, 2022 for the Gubernatorial General Election

Q: Where is my Election Day polling place?
A: On Election Day in District 14, you may vote at any of the following locations:

  • Damascus Community Recreation Center, 25520 Oak Drive, Damascus
  • Damascus High School, 25921 Ridge Road, Damascus
  • James Hubert Blake High School, 300 Norwood Road, Silver Spring
  • Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center, 14906 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville
  • Paint Branch High School, 14121 Old Columbia Pike, Burtonsville
  • Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department, 17921 Brooke Road, Sandy Spring
  • Sherwood High School, 300 Olney-Sandy Spring Road, Sandy Spring

Q: Where can I vote early?
A: You can vote early between Thursday October 27, 2022 through Thursday November 8 in the 2022 Election. The Early Voting Sites are open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. each day. In District 14, we are lucky enough to have three Early Voting Sites:

  • Damascus Community Recreation Center located at 25520 Oak Drive in Damascus
  • Marilyn J. Praisner Community Recreation Center located at 14906 Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville
  • The Ballroom of the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Station Number 4 located 17921 Brooke Road in Sandy Spring

Mail-In Ballot

Q: Who can vote by mail?
A: If you are registered to vote, you may vote by mail.  Your request for a mail-in ballot for the Gubernatorial Primary Election must be received by November 1, 2022 at 8 pm.

Q: How can I vote with a mail-in ballot?
A: You must fill out the ballot and follow all directions. Then, you may mail it or hand-deliver the ballot to any of the County’s drop boxes. CLICK HERE for a map of drop boxes around Montgomery County. 

Q: When are mail-in ballots due?
A: If you hand-deliver your ballot, you must deliver and insert it into a drop box by 8pm on Election Day (Tuesday, November 8th). If you mail your ballot, the envelope must be postmarked on or before election day.
